No time to bake? No worries, I’m always looking for ways to ‘liquify’ the naughtiest bakery treat and share them with you. The newest installment of the Sweet & Savoury Health smoothie collection is our Pear Tart Smoothie.
Late summer it’s pear season. Bartlett pear usually arrives first which you can find them in most of your local grocery stores and farmers market. As for me, granny’s got a huge pear tree in her back yard and we just have too many pears. These pears are the juiciest and sweetest pears I’ve ever tasted. Every bite is a burst of flavour and I can almost taste the rich heart-loving and immune boosting flavonols in them. Why pears are good for you? Check out my last post on this affordable local superfood. When pear reaches its full ripeness, you can use it as natural sweetener in your recipes, creating beautiful flavours without the nasty refined sugar.
That said, if you enjoy baking, here is my simple, delicious pear tart recipe. This is a relatively easy recipe that you can quickly whip together for your next party (No problem enjoying it by yourself, either. I did!). This tasty pear tart is a healthier and lighter alternative to the traditional pear tart recipe so you can indulge in a little bit of guilt-free sweetness. I can’t describe how good it tastes. Click here to get the recipe and try it for yourself.
Let’s start blending!
Just soaking in some sea minerals and vitamin D:) Stay cool and hydrated this summer, everyone!
